Freddie & Wendy - A Forever Friendship
I first truly met Freddie Mercury in November 2018 when I was 43 years old. He had been dead almost 27 years at the time of our fateful meeting. I remember Freddie and Queen as a kid. I even have a vivid memory of holding their News of the World album and thinking to myself, this is so cool. I remember seeing him and Queen on MTV belting out Bohemian Rhapsody which had become hugely successful again due to the silly movie called Wayne's World. Even then I did not fully understand or appreciate this incredibly talented, outrageously unique, gloriously outfitted in a white satin, skinned tight number, human soul that was giving his all on that stage.
Little did I know that some 3 decades later he would change my life so profoundly.
This website is dedicated in part to my love of all things Freddie. They just happen to be told through a nearly 6-inch tall figurine made in his likeness! Sometimes I feel as though I have been blessed with a tiny piece of Freddie's spirit and it is being brought to life in Little Freddie. He has developed quite the personality and as crazy as it might sound, I care so deeply for him, yes, the doll! I feel like I need to protect him and look out for him as he navigates a world almost 30 years later. He seems to remember bits and pieces of his former life, but is also ever curious about what is going on in the world today.
My goal is not to have a bazillion likes or turn into this big sensation. It is just a way for me to share my imagination, creativity, and the joy that Freddie Mercury brings to me. I hope that where ever the Real Freddie is now, that he is happy with what I've created here and will always watch over the both of us as we continue to spread all of the goodness that was, is, and forever will be Freddie F@@king Mercury!
